| To the graduates of Federal Way High school .. class of 2005:
Good luck and CONGRATS! It looks like BASIC is coming to a close pretty soon.. even though we all will be seperated (just in this lifetime) we still have God. Here's a list of what to do as you start your "new" life:
1. Pray
2. Pray
3. PRAY!
Don't let college (or the military) tear you down. Stay strong in Christ. Pray for each other.
B.A.S.I.C. WE LOVE YOU ALL! We will never forget the memories.
| "The Impossible" by Joe Nichols
My dad chased monsters from the dark He checked underneath my bed He could lift me with one arm way up over top his head He could loosen rusty bolts with a quick turn of his wrench He'd pull splinters from his hand and never even flinch In thirteen years I'd never seen him cry But the day that Grandpa died I realized
Unsinkable ships sink Unbreakable walls break Sometimes the things you think could never happen, Happen just like that Unbendable steel bends If the fury of the wind is unstoppable I've learned to never under estimate the impossible
Then there was my junior year Billy had a brand new car It was late, the road was wet I guess the curve was just to sharp I walked away without a scratch They brought the helicopter in Billy couldn't feel his legs They said he'd never walk again But Billy said he would and his mom and daddy prayed And the day we graduated he stood up to say
Unsinkable ships sink Unbreakable walls break Sometimes the things you think could never happen, Happen just like that Unbendable steel bends If the fury of the wind is unstoppable I've learned to never under estimate the impossible..
There's no such thing as hopeless if you believe..

Don't give up on that person you've been praying for who doesn't know Christ. Remember, EVERYTHING is possible through Christ - nothing is impossible! Keep doing all that you can and don't give up.
| Don't give up.. Jesus is right by your side and will never give up on you. =) | | |
| Thanks all for making BASIC at Steel Lake on Tuesday a success! It was lots of fun playing games + fellowshipping, worshipping Jesus, and praying to our awesome Father in heaven!
Good luck with school everyone. Remember we are in a battle - keep on fighting for Christ! The devil says that everything is impossible for us - but we know that through JESUS CHRIST everything is POSSIBLE. Don't give up - keep being a strong warrior for Christ. Let's bring people to God this year, let's show our schools the love of Jesus!

| NEXT WEEK, SEPTEMBER 8TH:
WHERE: Steel Lake
WHAT TIME: 7 P.M.
WHAT TO BRING: Any food if you can [like chips, soda pop, etc.], a swimsuit if you want to swim, and friends!
WHAT THERE WILL BE: Swimming, food, worship, fellowship, games, and bible study!
NOTES [important!]: If you want to swim please come early. We will be starting bible study at 7 as usual, so if you want to swim it either needs to be done AFTER bible study/worship or BEFORE bible study/worship. So show up early if you want to swim beforehand. Don't forget to bring a towel, etc.
I will be calling all of you to remind you of these things, so if you forget don't worry. And if you need directions don't hesitate to ask. Thanks, and I will see you all next week at the last B.A.S.I.C. before school starts!
